Jonathan Boraski, MD, DMD, FACS

Dr Boraski is originally from Massachusetts. He received his Bachelor's Degree from the University of Vermont. Following this, Dr Boraski attended Tufts University Dental School and graduated with a DMD Degree in 1980. He then completed a residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Emory University in Atlanta.

He earned his Medical Degree from Tulane University and completed his General Surgery residency at Tulane in 1993, after which he became board certified in General Surgery. Subsequently, he completed his Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery residency at LSU in 1995, and became double board board certified in Plastic Surgery.

From 1995 until 2018, Dr. Boraski was in private practice at West Jefferson Medical Center in Marrero while also serving as a volunteer faculty member at LSU, teaching residents in plastic surgery. He joined the full time faculty at LSU in 2018.  Dr. Boraski presently is practicing cosmetic and reconstructive surgery at West Jefferson Medical Center as well as University Medical Center in New Orleans.  

Dr. Boraski has served on the Board of Directors of the Jefferson Parish Medical Society for the past 6 years and is currently President elect for the coming year. He has held multiple medical staff positions at West Jefferson Medical Center including Chief of Staff, as well as Chairman of the Department of Surgery, a position he currently holds.
