What is a Thigh Lift?

The goal of thigh lift surgery is to smooth and reshape the skin and, in some cases fat, and evenly proportion contours of the thighs and lower body. During a thigh lift, the surgeon will make a cut on the upper and inner thigh, and remove excess fat and skin.  is often performed before, during or after this surgery, especially in cases where skin elasticity if poor.

About the Procedure

Your LSU Plastic Surgeon will review all surgical options and procedures during your consultation.Thigh lift procedures are usually done on an outpatient basis, and the surgery can take up to four hours. Most patients are active in two weeks, returning to full activity by six weeks.  As with any surgical procedure, recovery time will vary from patient to patient.
