Daniel Womac, MD

Daniel Womac, MD is Assistant Professor of Surgery with LSU Health Sciences Center. Dr. Womac joined the LSU Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery team in 2018. He specializes in aesthetic surgery, breast reconstruction, microsurgery, body contouring and skin cancer of the face and body.

Dr. Womac is an New Orleans native who graduated from Tulane School of Medicine in 2007. He completed General Surgery residency at the Medical University of South Carolina. During that time, Dr. Womac did a 1 year research fellowship in Transplant and Plastic Surgery Laboratories. Dr. Womac completed a second residency in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at LSU in 2016. He is currently double board certified by the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Plastic Surgery.

Dr. Womac has been published In multiple medical journals and has been invited to present his research at many prominent medical conferences. His medical interests include exceptional bedside manner and patient care, precise surgical technique, advancement of medicine by research and education of residents and students in training.
